The Story Till Now
Bookvertize is an initiative of dRSTi Communications, a niche youth marketing company. It all started with a group of young friends, passionate about marketing, discussing college life and life after college. It occurred to them that youth marketing, although much spoken about, is hardly understood by many. After all youth marketing requires that one understand the youth segment intimately. But weren’t they, youngsters themselves, actually better poised than even industry veterans to understand and capture the minds of millions of youth across the country?
That led to several brainstorming sessions to identify unconventional, yet practical, and effective ways of positioning advertisements to the youth. And so started dRSTi, and its innovative youth marketing initiative, Bookvertize, which pioneered the concept of notebook advertisement in India.
Over the years, Bookvertize has been tried, tested, proven and adopted repeatedly by several leading brands in the country. The one remark we hear from all our customers the first time is, “Can it really be this simple? Why didn’t we think of this earlier?” We now boast of a long roster of marquee customers who have derived immense value from our seemingly simple idea that has revolutionized the way marketers engage with the youth.
Winning over notebook manufacturers was another part of the story – after all what’s in it for them, they asked? Being a highly unorganized industry, we spent several months with notebook manufacturers across the country making them see value (for them) in our concept. We take pride in the fact that we now hold over 60% of the market share and that many of our vendors credit us for bringing about professionalism and brand loyalty in the notebooks segment.
